1. Eat breakfast-- your metabolism will speed up for the rest of the day.
2. Cut back on gas-producing vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower, onions and Brussels sprouts. Prunes and pears also produce gas and can lead to bloating.
3. Spice things up by eating hot foods. A study proved that eating hot foods burns calories.
4. Say no to soda, which also has carbs and sugar. Even the diet kind will leave you feeling full and bloated.
5. Avoid processed foods, like deli meats or hot dogs, which are loaded with salt and preservatives.
6. Eat small meals throughout the day so you don't overload at mealtime. Have some apple slices or low-fat cheese slices in the morning and try some celery sticks and peanut butter in the afternoon.
7. Avoid white flour in foods such as breads, cookies and pasta. These foods are high in sugars and carbs. If you want to have bread or pasta, opt for the whole-grain kind.
