Before he portrayed bitter Bundy patriarch Al, O’Neill was a pro football player, signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1969. He taught high school social studies before getting a start as an actor in commercials.
During the show’s run, the actor starred in films like ‘Dutch,’ ‘Blue Chips,’ and ‘Wayne’s World.’
Since the show, O’Neill has appeared in series including ‘The West Wing,’ ‘Dragnet’ and ‘John from Cincinnati’ and in movies including ‘The Bone Collector.’ He is married with two daughters and earned a Black Belt in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu in 2007. Christina Applegate Then
Applegate began her acting career as an infant, appearing in a commercial for baby bottles and on soap opera ‘Days of Our Lives’ (with her mother, Nancy Priddy). As a kid, she starred in 1981 horror flick ‘Jaws of Satan.’ From there, Christina began working in TV, playing a young Grace Kelly in a TV biopic and appearing on ‘Charles in Charge,’ among other shows.
But it wasn’t until the age of 15 that Applegate hit the big time; she was cast as ditzy blonde daughter Kelly Bundy on ‘Married... with Children.’

In the upcoming ‘Everything Is Going to Be Just Fine,’ the 38 year-old actress is reportedly playing ‘Bewitched’ star Elizabeth Montgomery.
